ABB's high-dynamic motor and driver portfolio combines ABB's ESM family of servo motors and Motiflex family of servo drivers to achieve a combination that optimizes cost and performance.This combination allows flexible selection of control input modes and feedback options, providing scalable solutions for motion and position synchronization, as well as speed and torque control.
The advanced and easy-to-use Microflex servo drive family features tiered functionality and simple configuration with an intuitive software tool.Combined with the compact and durable ESM series brushless servo motors, the continuous torque range is from 0.32 to 48Nm.Applications can use single-axis pulse and direction control, +/-10 V DC voltage control, stand-alone Mint programmable motion, or real-time multi-axis Ethernet network positioning.

3. Technical highlights
1) ESM series servo motors are used for motion control with high dynamic accuracy
Due to its high torque density, the ESM series servo motors have high dynamic response.Optional single-turn and multi-turn high-resolution value encoder feedback to match application requirements;
ESM series motor housings meet IP65 protection class.Power ratings range from 0.1kW to 7.5kW, five standard frame flange sizes range from 40 to 180 mm, and brake options can be added.The frame 40-80 flanged motor provides lead wire to facilitate the connection of motor power and feedback.
2) Compact and rugged brushless motor
Available in five exterior sizes, 40,60,80,130 and 180 mm, with high torque/inertia ratio and high acceleration capability.

In order to meet higher requirements, productivity and product quality, the ESM series digital feedback provides detailed location information with higher control and lower dynamic adjustment time.
